For only £2.50/ $4.00 per month YOU can change a life!

There are several ways that you can help.

BY BECOMING A GOD PARENT
About one third of the animals in Bianca’s care cannot be re-homed because of their age or ill health or simply because they are just too shy. Irrespective of where you live you can become a god parent to one of these animals.

For (a minimum of) 2.50 Euros/ £2.50/ US$ 4.00 a month you can foster one of these dogs or cats, safe in the knowledge that your money will be used to buy food, pay veterinary bills and generally ensure that the animal concerned lives out the remainder of its days, loved and cared for. As a god parent you will receive a personalised certificate of your new friend (see Gabriella and God Parent Laura Stewart’s certificate) and your name will appear alongside the respective animal on the website.

To see those available for fostering go to www.bianca.pt/english and click on “ANIMALS FOR FOSTERING” in the right hand column. Once you have chosen, contact Mike at info@friendsofbianca.org and he’ll organise the “fostering”.

VOLUNTEER
Bianca welcomes individuals or groups of people who would like to volunteer their time to help with the day to day requirements of providing the best possible life for the animals whose current home is the shelter. There are 250 dogs who need tender loving care and daily walking. The walking routes are set in a pine forest with fresh, clean air.

Volunteers can either help for a day or over a longer period of time. There is wonderful accommodation at the Casa Da Maria with en-suite rooms for 20 Euros per-person, per night. This is an eight bedroom villa shared with the resident owner and is self-catering, with guest shared dinning/lounge and modern conveniences. The villa is only a short 10 minute drive to Sesimbra and Meco beaches and also a 10 minute drive to the shelter. Why not devote some of your holiday time in Portugal to this wonderful organization or just come for that reason alone? You and the dogs will be equally blessed!.
