Rescue Stories

Here are the stories of some of the animals that have come into the care of the Bianca Associação.

Robby

Robby was found in this disgusting condition. His hair was matted so badly that he had difficulty walking and he had clearly been starving for some time.

Bianca treated a tumour on his lip but sadly because of neglect it was too late to save his sight. But despite all his problems, there was a happy ending and Robby has a great new home.

Rene

Rene was found by a Bianca volunteer who saw three people carrying a bag and on the beach burying it in the sand.

After they had left, the volunteer went to see what it was and discovered that it was in fact something that vaguely resembled a poodle and one that had clearly been left to die – buried alive.

The dog was in a state of total panic, had a horribly matted coat and a severe eye infection, and had to be immediately sedated and taken to a Veterinary Hospital. After weeks of Veterinary treatment and love and care at Bianca Rene, was ready for adoption and, now called Peathy, at last found herself in a lovely new home.
